JJES Weekly News – March 23

3/23/2025

JJES Pirate Family,

We hope everyone had a great Spring Break with their families and are ready to start an exciting and busy Quarter 4 of school! This quarter brings on a lot for us all at JJES.  Students will be testing the  ILEARN Summative Assessment in April and many of our third graders will be retesting IREAD in May after receiving remediation.  These tests are important to all of our students.  We have a lot of fun events planned throughout the quarter: Silly Safari Assembly, PTO Boosterthon, Kona Ice days, GCCS Art Show, our 5th graders go to Biztown, and all of the end of the year fun events like Field Day and Fire Truck Water Spray!  Our teachers and staff will not only be working so hard to make this a memorable end of the school year for your child, but we will also be packing up the building for our move into Charlestown Elementary!

We will have practice on Tuesday and Thursday, and students will need to be picked up from JJ at 5:00. Our competition this year will be held at Jeff High on May 13th at 5:30. After School Activity Pick Up

We are so proud to offer a wide range of extracurricular activities at JJ.  With multiple activities letting out at the same time, we ask that all parents or guardians use our car rider process to pick up after these activities.  Please make sure to enter our parking lot from Halcyon Rd, wait in line to pick up your child, and exit the parking lot near the Charlestown Library.  Do not park and walk over to get your child.  This makes dismissal from these activities unsafe.
