JJES Pirate Family,
2025-2026 Class List Information
Families of students that are registered for the 2025-2026 school year will receive an email by Monday, June 2nd, informing them of their teacher for the following school year. All other students will find out their teacher name when registered after July 20th.
2025-2026 Registration is Now Open!
You should have received your child’s snapcode in the mail over the past couple of weeks. Please use this to register your child for the 2025-2026 school year at your earliest convenience.

Click on Enroll Now at the top of the screen
Scroll down and click on Current Student Registration:
Enter Snapcode:
Follow steps to complete registration and submit upon completion.
If you need your child’s Snapcode, email Ashlee Kunkler at akunkler@gccschools.com. We greatly appreciate your help in completing this as soon as possible.
Field Day – Monday, May 19th
This will be a day of fun! We will have activities outside (inside-weather pending) in the morning. Some will involve water. We recommend you send in a change of clothes and shoes with your child in case it is needed!
Fourth Grade Charlestown Walk- Thursday, May 22nd
Due to the forecasted weather, we are moving the 4th Grade Walk to Thursday, May 22nd. Students should wear their tennis shoes, sunscreen, and bring a sack lunch as they spend the day walking around town learning about the rich history of our community!
5th Grade Graduation- Tuesday, May 20th at CHS at 6:00 pm
We invite families to celebrate their child’s elementary achievements! Students are expected to arrive between 5:30 and 5:45. Enter the gym doors and take a left to meet your teacher. Families may be seated in the gym. Students are asked to dress nicely.
Fire Truck/Q4 PRIDE Day – Wednesday, May 21st
The Charlestown Fire Department will be at JJES to spray the kids with water. It is SO MUCH FUN! Please have your child wear their PRIDE Family shirt and bring a towel, change of clothes, and sandals.
Thursday, May 22nd- Last Day of School
IREAD Summer School- May 27th- 30th
This will be held at Charlestown Middle School. Third grade students that are required or invited to attend will receive an informational paper this week.
CMS Pirate Preview- July 24 from 12:00-3:00
All future CMS 6th graders are encouraged to sign up for Pirate Preview. This event is a great opportunity for your child to familiarize themselves with their class schedules, practice opening lockers, tour the school, meet their teachers, and get to know other 6th graders who will be attending CMS. Ivy Tech- Kids College Summer 2025

Pirate Run Club- Summer Endurance Session 2025
Starts June 9th, Monday and Wednesday at 7:00 pm and Saturday at 8:00 am. Kids from all schools and sports are welcome! Register at www.piraterunclub.com. For more information or questions, email piraterunclub@gmail.com. The club will end with the Monroe Street Mile on July 19th!
Charlestown Sharks Summer Swim Team-
The swim team practices and competes from May 19 through July 12, for ages 4 through high school. Swimmers are assigned to groups based on ability and the meets are not mandatory.
There is a QR code for the registration and for the GroupMe communication app.
Registration is Charlestown Football Camp: K-6 June 23-26
This camp is held at the CHS Football field. Girls and Boys are welcome of all skill levels. The cost is $40 per person that includes a t-shirt. Football Camp Sign Up Form
